Working with Manchester customers

A good share of our work comes from Manchester: architecture and design studios needing models and presentation pieces, retail and hospitality businesses after signage and menus, event companies ordering props and displays, and makers who need someone to cut a run properly rather than doing it on a desktop machine.

Most of it never needs a site visit. You send the file, we quote, we cut, and the finished pieces either get collected or delivered.

Getting work to and from Manchester

We are in Macclesfield, roughly 18 miles from Manchester city centre and straightforward on the A34 or by train to Piccadilly. You are welcome to collect from the workshop at no extra charge, which is often the quickest option for a small job.

If collecting is not practical, we quote delivery separately based on the size and weight of the finished pieces and confirm the cost before anything is dispatched. Flat sheet work packs well and travels cheaply. Larger or more fragile pieces cost more to send, which is why we price it per job rather than pretending one rate fits everything.

What we cut and engrave

Wood including plywood, MDF, hardwoods and veneers. Plastics including acrylic, Perspex and ABS. Metal marking and engraving for labels, plaques and parts. We also offer CNC routing for thicker material and larger production pieces, quoted per job.

We do not engrave iPhones, tablets or laptops.

Prices are the same wherever you are

There is no Manchester premium. Every job starts at £30, covering the first 30 minutes including basic file setup, then £40 an hour pro rata. Drawing or repairing artwork is £25 an hour, and we tell you in advance if that is going to apply. We are not VAT registered, so there is no VAT on top.
